Comments:
When the Ford plant closed in Dallas, my dad was transferred to Louisville. We moved to Louisville after I finished my first year of college at East Texas State. I then attended Western Kentucky University but then started working and quit college. I worked in industrial sales and then started at Ford Motor for several years until laid off. I then started working at Humana Hospital Audubon as Senior Secretary in the laboratory and Pathology and started training as a medical transcriptionist. I have worked as a Medical Transcriptionist since 1980 in Louisville at Audubon Hospital, Southwest Hospital, Ss. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, Jewish Hospital, University Hospital, several doctors offices and now at the University of Louisville in Oral Pathology. I have worked at least two full time jobs continuously for the last 20 years. I now only work at the University of Louisville. Feels strange not working two jobs at one time. I now help care for my parents; mother has Alzheimers and dad is legally blind and care for my husband who is disabled in a wheelchair. I guess that is my second job you might say. My plate is full to say the least.
Well since my last comments, my mother died in March 2011, dad died in January 2014 and my husband died in April 2014. Have had back surgery to take care of nerve impingement due to spinal stenosis and now ready to undergo right knee replacement in October 2014. The year 2014 has held a lot of heart break but also a new beginning to start really taking care of me. I hope all my friends and former classmates will continue to keep me in their prayers.
Now 2015 having gone through so much during the year of 2014. With the help of my family, faith and friends, I have made it to another year, doing great after back surgery and right knee replacement. Things are looking better for this year.
