Kenny Gracy was one of the sweetest guys I knew from elementary school into college.
We were good buddies and always had the wonderful school age affection for each other. I remember him always grinning. I think he always wanted to play sports but was (I guess?) too small and so contented himself as a great trainer and general spirit lifter. He was excellent at both and being a good friend.
The last time I saw him, I was transferring to North Texas from Texas Tech and we ran into each other on campus in Denton. He was so happy. He had a wonderful new girlfriend and they were talking of marriage. I told him I was so glad I would get to see him more since I was transferring to NTSU in the Fall, but he was killed in a one-car accident in Garland that summer of 1971.
I still see his wonderful smiling face. God Bless Kenny!
