When my mind conjours up an image of Doug, it is with his sax in hands and cheeks puffed up. What a wonderful, fun friend at GHS. Always smiling. I saw him years later while canoeing on the Guadalupe River. Still smiling, still fun! Your friend, Dick
"Ditto" as what Dick stated! I will always remember his message in my year book as he writes over a picture of a Cheverolt Corvair "The Seniormobil!" and wrote "MY CAR". Although my last to see him was after graduation, I will always remember his smile and good times in band. My prayers to all his loved ones.
I had a kind of crush on Doug, in part because of the way he played the saxaphone. He was wonderfully talented. He also was a terrific real guy. No made up answers. He always responded in real time. Smart, savvy.
