Jimmy and I grew up in the same neighborhood (Monica Park area) and were friends since 1st grade @ Watson Elementary. We were like brothers then. After graduation we went separate ways. After I left Garland in 1970 I really never moved back, I only returned for brief visits. Every time I'd return to Garland to visit mom and dad on E. Vista...more times than not...they would mention that Jimmy had stopped by and visted them....he was a true gentleman and family friend...

DR. James (Jimmy)Puckett was President of TACT. He was a husband and father of one, a Licensed Psychologist, and Professor and Chair of his Department at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

Jimmy..You are missed by many....Rest in peace bro.

Jimmy Puckett was my friend, and I miss him to this day. We became friends at Stephen F. Austin Jr. High and remained friends up until his untimely death. Starting with the twenty year reunion he would visit and stay with us the weekend of. We became even closer friends during those time intervals. Jimmy was very intelligent and had a heart of gold. I consider myself lucky to have been his friend.
