Lucretia “Marie” McIlveene Fuller, age 71, passed away on July 8, 2022 in Spring Branch, TX. She was born April 6, 1951, in Dallas, Texas to Clarence and Dortha (Ballard) McIlveene as one of seven children.
Marie graduated from Garland High School in 1969. It was April 8, 1967 on a Friday night at Griff’s Hamburgers when she met the love of her life, Paul “David” Fuller. Marie and David married in 1969 and were married 53 years with two sons, Jason and Jeremy.
Marie worked as a court reporter in Dallas, owning two successful firms during her career, Fuller & Parker and Fuller & Associates. She built many relationships in the legal profession and made many lifelong friends.
Marie loved to travel with her friends, visiting many areas of Europe, with her most favorite trip being to Germany & Austria.
Marie was known as “Mimi” to her grandkids, Colin, Wellborn, Talan, and Elle. She loved her grandkids more than anything in the world. She was passionate about helping others. She sent care packages to service members overseas, called and made appointments for vaccines for those who couldn’t, and also made and donated over 1,000 facemasks for those in need during the Covid pandemic.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul David Fuller; sons, Jason Fuller and wife Kathryn of Silsbee, TX, Jeremy Fuller and wife Crystal of Spring Branch, TX; grandchildren, Colin, Wellborn, Talan, and Elle; sisters, Lois Yaws of Gilmer, TX, and Liz Read and husband Pee Wee Read of Alba, TX, brother, Aubrey McIlveene of Columbus, TX, and sisters in law, Jan Greathouse of Cleburne, TX and Mary Lusk of Plano, TX, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bryant, Paul, and Johnny McIlveene.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Family Cathedral of Praise, 1032 Highway 80, Forney, TX with the Bro. Harry Sewell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS chapter in San Antonio. https://www.alstexas.org/
