From Michelle Melrose:

"It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of our beloved Dad. After a strong and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, our Dad took his last breath on this earth 3 weeks ago, March 19th. He is no longer suffering but rests in eternal peace with our Heavenly Father through our Savior Jesus Christ.

Dad served in the United States Air Force where he was a Vietnam Veteran and received two greatest honors, the Commendation medals for his distinctive meritorious achievements and service.

Dads are someone to look up to, someone to admire, someone to follow, someone to be proud of and someone to brag about, someone to hold and someone to cry with, someone to learn from and someone to respect, someone to talk to and someone to listen to, someone to try and impress, sometimes rebel against, and someone, most of all, with whom to share everything this beautiful life has to offer. We are incredibly grateful and happy to tell you that we have had all this and much more with our Dad.

To say we loved our Dad would be an understatement - and to say we are going to miss him would be an even greater understatement.

Our Dad’s love was unconditional, and this is something we will cherish from his character and take with us forever. His kindness and generosity will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Dad was the light of our life, inspirational, hard-working, compassionate towards everyone, and deserved the success and rich life that he enjoyed. He taught us many things but most importantly he gave us the ability to know that if you really put your mind to something, anything is possible.

Dad, your love, your patience, your understanding, your wisdom, your talent, you pushing us to be the best we can be, and your amazing sense of humor will live on inside us forever. You have given us gifts that are more precious than anything in this world. You will always live on in our hearts and I will always be your little girl. Until we see you again, We love you Dad.

Please continue to keep my brother, family, and I in your thoughts & prayers.
