Donny Huddleston, 66, of Sachse, TX, died on December 25, 2016, surrounded by family. Donny showed so much grace, strength, and optimism during his three year battle with leukemia. Donny was born March 26, 1950, in Houston, TX, to Bill and Muriel (Cannon) Huddleston. He worked in the telecommunications industry for over 38 years, most recently for Torchmark Corporation. Donny married the love of his life, Lanasu Mason, on October 28, 1977. Their family grew in 1979, when their daughter, Amy, was born and continued to grow in love and laughter with two more precious daughters, Amber and Abbey. Donny was a very dedicated and loyal husband, father, and Poppa. He was best known for his infectious laugh, his intentional hugs and joyful personality that seemed to light up an entire room. Donny's love for sports, fishing and card games paled in comparison to his fierce passion for his family.
Donny is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years: Lanasu Huddleston; three loving daughters: Amy Holcomb and husband Wes, Amber Cole and husband Jason and Abbey Luman and husband Nathan; seven adored grandchildren: Haylee (8), Kendall (6), Aden (6), Adelynn (6), Caitlyn (4), Lucas (3) and Emma (1); brothers: Allen and David; sister: Linda; mother-in-law: Clarice Mason; sister-in-law: Marsha Mason; and many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved: Morgan and Michelle, Billy and Wayne, and Crystal and Lindsey. He was proceeded in death by his parents; Bill and Muriel Huddleston; sister: Phyllis; father-in-law: Dal Mason; and brother-in-law: Kerry Mason.
