Kati Lois Houts, age 73, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK. Born on December 13, 1950, in Chattanooga, TN, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, spirituality, and dedicated service.

Kati was a beacon of love and faith, believing in the divine presence in all living things. Her life was marked by her deep spiritual convictions and a dry wit that brought smiles to many. A passionate reader and advocate for lifelong learning, Kati's intellectual pursuits were only matched by her compassionate actions.

She is survived by her wife of 42 years, Melanie Fraim; her beloved furbaby, Lady; her sister, Janella Tears and husband Gary; nieces Kasey Smith and husband Zack, Mindy Pidek and husband Eric; great-nephews Max, Corbin, Clayton, Brigham Smith, Luke, Collin, and Tyler Pidek; and brother-in-law Jack Fraim and wife Betty. Her extended family includes Amy Tucker and husband Cody, and Cara Saladino and husband Sam, along with numerous cherished family members of choice. Kati was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Hodges and Keith Houts.

Kati's educational journey included graduating from Garland High School, earning a Master's degree in Adult Blind Rehabilitation from Western Michigan University, and a Master's in Pastoral Ministry from St. Thomas University, Miami, FL. Her professional life was dedicated to the field of blind rehabilitation for 22 years and serving as an ordained MCC Minister from 2002 until her retirement in 2018, during which she guided three congregations.

A Celebration of Life was held on October 26 at 1:00 PM at Southern Hills Christian Church located at 3207 S Boulevard, Edmond, OK 73013.
