"I am sorry to have to tell you that Tommie Joyce Holt Johnston '69 has passed away. Her son Jason told me:
My mother, a Garland High 1969 alumnus, passed away suddenly yesterday morning. Her school name was Tommie Joyce Holt. In married life, she was Joyce Johnston. She was born October 5, 1950 and died January 6, 2018. She was 67 years old. She is survived by her husband, James Johnston, and four children.
She also attended Williams Elementary and Sam Houston Middle School, and lived on Park Drive. Her two sisters, Peggy and Pat Holt, and her brother Ronny Holt, also attended GHS, as well as her children Jason Johnston, Jerald Johnston, Janell Johnston, and Jimmy Johnston.
Visitation Tuesday 6-8pm, Eubanks Funeral Home, Canton, TX. Service Wednesday 10am First Baptist Church Canton.
