We are all very excited about the success of our 40th Class Reunion which occurred October 9th and 10th, 2009 in Garland and Dallas. It was a tremendous success thanks to YOU for reaching out and making the effort to connect and also thanks to the dedication and efforts of our Reunion Committee. It was Amazing and the Best Ever!! Lets not wait so long next time.
Each one of us has a common bond to the past, a unique connection to each other through a similar experience and very real memory of those 3 years at Garland High School when we saw each other almost every day for 9 months out of each year. Not to mention the strong friendships that developed during that time. After the 40 year Reunion, we all experienced how that connection can be stronger.
The tour of Garland High School was really wild, I think about 80% percent of the time I was lost, so much has changed and so much is new. The open area between the main building where all the seniors had classes and the old gym and building along Avenue D is completely gone. I am working on getting a floor plan of the current High School and then maybe mark it up to represent how it was back in 1969!
